Complex, energetic and intense with lovely and complex tannins. Closed. Grippy. Good acids and freshness. But tannins maybe a bit much? Will they integrate more? Juicy and clean.
After 6 hours this went from a 9.1 to a 9.5. Nose is crazy floral and exotic with stunning cherry flower. Superb earthiness and leafiness. Sweet fruit and finesse and so linear. Nimble and elegant. Sappy and pure. Long finish.

Palate is so ethereal and elegant with terrific purity and energy. So clean and minerals wash your palate for the whole ride. Superb concentration but so light on its feet and wonderful, ripe and vervy tannins. So so ethereal and ephemeral. Just gorgeous. Long, complex finish with loads of structure, fruit and mineral. On the cusp of 9.5.

A stop you in your tracks nose. Tree bark. Incense. New nuances every 30 seconds. A potpourri. Palate is meta juicy with awesome energy and purity. So delineated and a masterful flavor hierarchy. This bottle of 09 is quite stunning..... Still young and vibrant, with cherry, cranberry, blood orange fruit and high elevation zippy herbal, rose hip notes. Nice viscosity and judicious oak too; no wonder we never see this in the US, they drink it all in Suisse! Thanks Matthias and Sina! GnR
