Saturday Spring wine. Pale yellow. Bouquet of simple flowers. The mineralogy is stunning. Lemon and ripe pineapple. Really easy, simple, but impossible to stop drinking.

As if mosel riesling knocked up a Sancerre while vacationing in champagne: white grapefruit, white pepper and yesterday's cut grass. So fresh, so clean

Nose has chilled, fresh cut yellow & green apples, wet spring hay and twist of lemon peel.

Palate has sugary limestone, tart green apple and light grassy herbal notes.

Last bottle.

If you're not drinking Elbling sekt, I ask why? You need to experience it at least once, and likely that won't be enough. A much more balanced grape for sekt, the Riesling versions can get a little screechy with higher acidity, Elbling is quite even keeled.

So much fun for such a great value. The texture, the acid, reminds me of the Loire.

Fat body on mine, the bottle was half gone and getting warmer by the time I got to it. Just finished toast aromas, some green apple. I’d like to drink some more from a colder bottle.

Friday night Tanglewood wine with the BSO playing some Bernstein & Tchaikovsky, Jean-Yves Thibaudet on piano!

Sekt...Yes please, may I have another? Elbling sekt none the less, Hild has a good grasp on this grape. It's way too easy to drink.
