This seems like a very typical RRV Pinot, big fruit, oaky, 14.9% abv. Everything was in balance though. Gotta give credit where it's due.

Really nice strawberry, red cherry, violet plums, with some floral notes. Kind of rustic showing some funk jam and dust. The alcohol pops with strawberry jams, pomegranate, leather shows. Nice twang of red fruit flesh and a juicy finish.

Big and bold fruit more typical of a blend. Pleasant to drink but if tasted blind I would not have guessed it to be a Pinot.

This is a wine that has greatly benefited from a couple of years in the bottle. The nose is soft and full of dark red fruits and black cherries. On the palate the 15% alcohol does not show itself at all. The palate is soft and elegant with pleasing, bright acidity. Bright flavors of black berries and cherries lead to a touch of earth, bright, food friendly acidity and extremely soft tannins. The finish is long and elegant, again showing off the great acidity with just a kiss of juicy fruits.
