My last bottle of this lovely blend of SB/Pinot Bianco/Ribolla Giana/Friulano, all from Napa!
See prior notes. Not sure if it’s produced anymore since the winery is acquired by Gallo.

Refreshing and delicious. Citrus and underripe stone fruits underpinned by bright acidity and minerality. Good texture and weight on the palate.
Is 2020 the only vintage for this blend? I sure hope Gallo continues to make this after the acquisition.

A delightful blend of varieties typically found in Northeastern part of Italy, more specifically Collio. Green apple, white peach, citrus zest, hint of fresh herbs, and herbaceous touch. Crisp and clean but there is roundness to the palate. Light saline finish.

Fun fact: The label has Tocai Friulano as a variety, but Tocai was relinquished to avoid confusion with Takaj in 2007. Now it’s simply called Friulano.

Emilia Bianca is utility wine. A blend of half Sauvignon Blanc, then Pinot Bianco, Ribolla Gialla, and Tocai Friulano. Has a sturdy Napa backbone, the freshness and crisp acid of Sancerre. Delicate and pretty and reliable.

Massican ’Emilia Bianca’ 2020: Fragrant, bright & fresh with clean notes of citrus, flowers & almonds. This was a wonderful new find for me, a beautiful Mediterranean-inspired white wine blend from Napa Valley. Consisting of 45% Sauvignon Blanc, 25% Pinot Blanc, 15% Ribolla Gialla & 15% Tocai Friulano, this unique wine really transports you to the Mediterranean in a blink! Just close your eyes and enjoy the sip! This was my first encounter with this producer however I am looking forward to exploring many other white wine offerings. PS, also love the wine name as my daughter’s name is Emilia! Cheers🍷
