2013. Cherry gum and red currant with a lil cran-violet on the nose. Ned-heavy mouthfeel with a powdery grape and cherry liqueur, some chewy tannins and a graphite outlined green streak that tightens on the end notes. Great Primitivo! Wasn't real sure about this, and it is admittedly briary, and comes off untamed, but delicious in the way a young Cahors can seem. Interesting.

Dark Ruby/ brown in color with a brick rim.

On the nose, barnyard, Sherry, Oak, earth and caramel. Not much on the fruit side and Not attractive at all.

Dry on the palate with oak, forest floor, caramel, vanilla, plums and cherries.

Short finish with aggressive tannins and black pepper.

This is a very different tasting, Primitivo. Wasn't pleasurable at all and it felt like something is wrong with it, but no one else felt it was corked. Unbalanced, and to me, it's almost undrinkable.

13% alcohol by volume.

Oh my what a beautiful wine! I don't think I have ever had a Primitivo before. I don't know a lot about wine except if I like it or not but I guess Primitivo is similar to Zinfandel? If so I much prefer this one it's delicious!!
