Gravely fruit smells

A hint of saline at the start, medium weighted. With cherry skins, black olive, blackberry seed and all.
Usually an incredible deal, I find the tannins in this wine to be far to bold and gripping this vintage. Need to lay down for a while longer.

Candied fruit, licorice, leather. Punches well above its weight class

This is a red wine not white. 50/50 Syrah/Grenache. Very young. More like young Grenache in the nose and mouth. Best decanted and the second day

This was tasty, particularly for price. Fruity, but not too sweet, none of the heavy tannins (?) I don’t always love in say a Nebbiolo

Redcurrent, olives, herbs on the nose; more rustic herbal flavours with some soft raspberry and cherry

This bright rosé has an interesting, perhaps sweet, a little bit alcoholic (13.5%) strawberry shortcake nose. But don’t underestimate this little lady. She has a strong, acidic backbone, that doesn’t back down but gets brighter as she lingers. Definitely a “buy again.” Would be delish with some Serrano or aged hams, very nice with oysters or salmon.

This has evolved beautifully, smokey sea foam on the nose, deep berry blended with high acid, prunes and tabac, well integrated tannins. I should have bought a few more of this vintage , as it's a great QPR

Dark fruit and cedar notes. Medium tannins, long finish.
