Monday Night Football and N honest, organic Côtes du Rhône. The name means “bit of licorice” and it fits. Licorice is present in the nose, along with deep iodiney earthiness and dark blackberry skin fruit. Loads of gutsiness in the mouth. Good structure even though the acids are a tad lower than I ideally would like. Still, this is more enjoyable to me than the vast majority of blowsy 15% CDPs out there at triple to quadruple the price (I think this was somewhere south of $15).

PS-needs lots of air.

Notes of Licorice and some dusty woody notes. From a 35 year old biodynamic Vineyard. This wine is a blend of 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah. The palate is a a lovely juicy blend of red fruits showing the fruit was in tip top condition when it was picked. Not overtly raspberry as one often gets with Grenache. Soft tannins - drink now. Excellent CDR for the money.
