A very ripe style. I wonder also if this bottle is heat damaged. Has flavors or being stuck in a container at the dock of SF or OAK during all the 'negotiations'. Screw cap.

Not “my cup of tea” still immature, perhaps aging will bring up its hidden quality. I won’t give it another chance.

Pepper spices and Himalayan salty ness. Earth tones of water crest and teaberry. Some limestone tinges and slate. Dark fruits are not light and not heavy but mid pallet plum. Very different taste.

Dry, earthy and vegetal. Red peppers, mint and slightly inky. Quite tasty.

I tend to geek out on Cabernet Franc, even though I recognize its limitations. This one was okay. It lacked the earthy funkiness that a lot of Cab Francs have, which is what I usually like about them. In reality, it’s probably more “sophisticated” than those I usually like, but in the end, it’s a middle of the road, good enough red that pairs well with meat. Next time I’ll get a weird NY State Cab Franc for the adventurousness of it all.

Red wine, has a lot of different flavors at once. Recommend smelling produce at a farmers market to learn and train palette

This cab franc was heavy on the berries and had a astringent mouth feel but was still very good.
