Love this cuvee. Always a killer value. Nose of game, olives and flowers. Really high toned florals. Awesome. Some beef blood as well and black fruits. Fantastic juiciness on the palate and tremendous succulent black fruits and exceptional length. Wow. This is a brilliant Corendies. So sappy and pure.

In a great great place. Granite, graphite, bacon, dark flowers, roasted game, dark berry fruit. Sappy and so juicy. Lovely freshness and purity. Tangy acids and fruit. Excellent purity.

My last bottle of the 14. Still has a few years left. Nose is so gorgeous. Sweet smoke, crushed granite, white pepper, tart blackberry. Very savory and salty in the mouth. Very mineral. Great acids. Nice length and persistence. This went wicked well with crispy-fried Szechuan beef, cutting through the sweet/spicy notes.

Small wine, big vintage, bigger value. Big nose of big berry fruit, graphite, camphor, cassis, spice, flowers. Amazing sweetness and oh man what velvety texture and majah velvety tannins. So juicy. Stunning wine for no scratch!

Both fun and thoughtful. With a little air, nose shows very pure and fresh blackberry/cassis, just-cracked peppercorns, cracked stones, and pink grapefruit rind. Soft texture, loads of flavor in an uber-fresh package. So lively and fun. Syrah's answer to Chateau Thivin.

Another wine from Fass that I swore was Sonoma coast in a blind. Need a trip to the Rhone, what a beautifully structured Syrah.

13 is such a bomb vintage in Cote-Rotie and surrounding areas. This wine is a cracking value every year. Nose is a bit shy out of the gates. But the palate is the star. Juicy, complex, shimmering with stone infused minerality and great freshness. Full but elegant and perfectly executed. Great wine. There is so much god damn frigging fruit it's striking.

Saturated youthful color. Very closed at present. Even over a two day period! Slightest whiffs of smoke, violets, and cassis. Flavors are reticent too. But texturally it's really nice. Soft, but with excellent acidity. Obviously in an awkward stage but with lots of promise. Unfortunately, I won't be there to witness it because this is my only bottle! Oh well.

Another favorite of mine!
Subliminal fruity taste yet refreshing with a perfect aromatic flavors as if it was made this morning!
Perfect choice for a midium-raw cooked fillet mignon!

Syrah stone cold, a serious face. It's whats served, take it or leave it. Bloody, meaty, chewy. With a good decant, some nuance comes out of the forest.

Graphite, pencil shaving, cedar, and wet leaves. It's raw and chunky. Enjoyable in the accents, but knowing what Syrah can do, I like it more wholly expressive and harmonious.
