The sign said “...pizza wine...”. Lovely and simple. No thinking; only being. + Zachery’s Pizza = yes please!

Dang! Priced right and blows my expectations out of the water! These guys make and incredible (albeit new world-y) brunello. This general Normale Toscana is in the same full bodied style.

2013 Brunelli Poggio Apricale. An awesome mini Brunello. Really great QPR. Balanced fruit, tannin, and acid. Great grilled meat wine.

A good Italian red. Fairly lightly spiced cherry fruit up front, but this wine does have some grip on the back end.

Light, bright, but not thin. Leggy, actually.

A baby Burnello we discovered on a trip to Nags Head a year or so back. Wonderful effort, immediately enjoyable for a 2013 vintage and inexpensive. Enjoying with a little homemade GRAVY crafted by my bride!
