Reductive and leaning natty at first, 1 hour in the decanter and the Syrah reveals itself with red and blue fruits, lavender florals, garrigue, olive and pepper spice. Body wise on the elegant side at barely medium+, med+ finish.

Delicious. Juicy and showed Blackberry, flint, and spice. Was even better the second day and has the composition to age elegantly.

Dynamite stuff. So old school. Blackberry granite nose, so aromatic, flowers, pastille, very pretty. Palate is fresh and much more red fruited than the nose suggests. Delicious succulent fruit in a decidedly fresh accessible style. Juicy tannins and good structure as well with nice chewy depth. Very pure. Excellent.

Deep fruity nose floral a bit rustic. Complex and stoney. Mineral. In the Trollat style more than other st jo I’ve had. Super rustic, great power and concentration. Delicious. After 6 hours this wine is ridiculous with a fruit intensity and stoniness that is compelling.

Quite good. Not overly tannic or acidic, nicely balanced. Helen’s.

Was worried by initial natty aromas but they blew off to reveal a beautiful Syrah. Dark berries, granite, fine tannins. Not overly polished. Delicious with braised short rib and ricotta gnudi.

I like this producer for SJ that is still young, floral with lots of dark fruit, smoke, graphite, spice box & violet.

Serious wine that needed 2 hrs of air. Dark fruits, lots of dry extract with spice, meat, olive & floral notes.
