Consistent with previous bottles. Loads of spicy aromatics, yet more floral notes poke through on this one. Round edges & fuller bodied. This plays off the smoked salmon we are having beautifully. Shows a honeyed lemon note which lingers on the palate. Whites from Rioja are often overlooked, they shouldn't be.

Feb 14th, 2017The nose is loaded with layered spicy aromatics. The palate is round & lush with a slight oxidative character. The spiciness emerges on the back of the palate. It takes a bit of air for this to find footing, then it rounds into excellent balance.
