The best offering at our local bar. Dark chocolate, prune, vanilla, potting soil, and tobacco aromas and flavors. Good acidity, tannins are medium with decent grip. Lacks elegance. I don’t think there is much more aging potential here, maybe 5 years max. 13.5% alcohol. Not bad, we enjoyed it with Manchego cheese and Jamón serrano. Nice, just not amazing!

"95 - Decanter World Wine Awards 2020!
In celebration of 150 years of winemaking, Marques de la Concordia conceived a series of cuvees meant to reflect the heritage of their vineyards and cellars. The 2015 Rioja Reserva holds an earthy quality that roots it in the appellation and the polished red and black fruit flavors for which the Tempranillo grape is celebrated."

Nose is berries and licorice. Taste is sour cherries, blackberries and dry oak tart finish.

Classy blue label on a bottle with a raised glass stamp. Dark as it gets for Rioja. And no sign of oxidation what so ever. Smells fresh and sassy. Sarsaparilla and berries. Flavors are balanced and herbal. Dry, tasty, and pleasing. It’s complex with a woodsy pine needles and tamarack bark zing to match the cherry cordial. This has aged amazingly and has loads of intertwined flavors 14 years in.

Soft, smooth, easy drinking. Enjoyed it with Chorizo Paella. Would get it again!

Liked this. Took a bit to open and was dry but better than other wine at this price.

Chocolate and velvet. Big flavor, waiting on secondary notes to come in.

For a riserva this is a touch one dimensional. Pronounced nose and good aromas of cooked prunes and a touch of green, olives, red berries. On the palate fruit forward and dried figs are the only real addition. Oak is a smokey afterthought which actually is a good thing. Not blown away but an easy drinker.
