Wild Eyed Red Mountain Syrah

Focused Syrah, from Washington St. crew of Mark Ryan. Cherry cola and cranberry fill the nose. Full, soft and lush mouthfeel, pushing flavors of blackberry, plum, cola and tad of eucalyptus. Relaxed tannins, balanced acidity creates a finish that gushing with jammy smokey black fruits and earth.

Really nice reserved and restrained WA Syrah. Love the elegance, balance, and airiness that this exudes. Velvety. Well made.

I had high expectations for this, but I think it's going thru a dumb stage. Closed, nonetheless, there are some cured meat and black tea aromas with muted flavors of blackberry. Well rounded tannins but a bit hot on the long lingering finish. I'll give it a couple of hours and see if it improves.

Age worthy Syrah from the Red Mountain AVA!

Purchased at release and like most WA Syrahs needs time to achieve its potential. This wine is now soft and fully integrated with black and red cherry graphite tar menthol spice cedar smoked meat all in balance with just enoigh acid to keep it bright. Color is still deep ruby with no rim variation. I've had every vintage ever made of the Wild Eyed and remain loyal.

Good syrah, a little sharp

A bit like the Dissident taken to 11. Strong cherry and cranberry. A bit too much, in my opinion, is rather have The Dissident

Big. Very big. But not overly tannic. Nice structure with both dark and red fruit. A hint of dark chocolate on the finish.
