1 person found it helpfulDec 25th, 2015Classic method sparkling from Central Italy, made with "bellone" grapes, 2012 DOC 24 months on the yeasts, 12,5%.
Bottle tasted in December 2014.
Rich golden yellow color.
Aromatic nose, ripe yellow peach, a little citrus.
In the mouth the bubbles are big, not too elegant, quite acidic, but green too.
Not for me...

Really lovely non-champagne sparkling that has that brioche dimension I love, with a provenance that I greatly appreciate. Special thanks to opentuesdaywines.com for sourcing it. It presented so well at the gathering.

Sep 30th, 2017Always a pleasure to start with this sparkling. 2012 vintage! Getting fuller bodied and more interesting, I'd say, but likely to fall off a cliff pretty soon?
