Cracked open this delicious Ser Lapo from 2011. We brought it back from The Fonterutoli winery after our visit in 2014. We are pairing this Chianti Classico Riserva with Cheese Gnocchi for a tasty dinner!

Leather, toasted oak, tobacco, with hints of shoe polish and red fruits. Gets better with age and decanting. 2011 vintage is ready to drink in 2018 as long as you give it at least 30 minutes to breathe.

Beautiful crimson ruby color, lively raspberry and red fruit flavors balanced by a refreshing herbaceous finish. More structured and less acidic than many Sangioveses, this is an excellent standard bearer for a quality Chianti Clasico. Half an hour or longer in a decanter will help soften the slight harshness and tannins when first opened
