Birthday Barolo, minus the birthday. Love it, although, give it a few more years and it will be Mike Tyson: a knockout.

Rich and chewy. A definite food wine. Heavy on the tannins, requiring 45 minutes in a decanter. Excellent after-notes evaporating off the tongue: crushed rose petals and velvet. Not one I would drink on its own, but with pasta and red sauce, it's a winner.
