Had this at the winery. Fragrant nose even without swirling. Intoxicating. 80% Sangiovese 15% Cab Sauv 5% Cab Franc; the latter adding elegance. Earthy flavours Good acid. A recent tasting at the winery revealed the first vintage, the 1971 to be in perfect condition.

Sep 25th, 2015Full, rich, round, smooth. Long in palate from front to back. Cellars forever. Open a day ahead of serving. Offer disk tops for the wine glasses as the outgassing in the glass is hi-powered and fabulous.

Time has been mind to this Antinori Tuscan. Timidity of three years ago has passed and this baby is entering adulthood.

Dec 8th, 2021Agree with those who describe the finesse in this reserve. Long open but worth the wait every time. apparently higher in sangiovese than other vintages and it works just fine. Really nice Antinori offering!

Jan 17th, 2021This Tiganello is almost at the end of his life. The colour already reaches into a light brown. However, he tastes amazingly round, velvety. It should not be longer in the bottle.
