It's very light initially, red fruit on the forefront with some black currant at the end. A smooth finish with acidity but a nice mouthfeel like a lush violet orchard. I expected a big and bolder flavor from a Chianti but it did open up nicely and get closer to that, especially paired with food. It was a nice choice with pesto!

Light with some fruit. Enough acid not to be flabby, but not very interesting

We ARE a little bias as we drink this in Florence, Italy (aka Firenze), but overall it's an ok Chianti. Would it be my FIRST choice? Nope... maybe my 3rd or 4th on the "chianti train". Smooth and not too fruity-tart, with hints of oak. A "tang" is left on the palate (not too heavy) and would definitely pair well with pasta or pizza (as so many of the other reviews suggest).

Lighter than more typical chiantis. I'll drink the next bottle in warner weather.
