Les Cornuelles Vieille Vigne Chinon Cabernet Franc

Dark and muscular with savory potpourri and cedar. Muted aromatics led me to a hot vintage. Called 2018 Loire Cab Franc. A’thank you.

2014 vintage.

I always love Loire Valley Cabernet Franc, with it's ruby core and purplish rim. This is a traditional style if not a little light on the nose and palate. The red fruit balances out the herbacious bell peppery notes well and neither the acid nor the tannins dominate. It's a fairly good representation of old world cab franc.

Big cab franc. Showing big fruit with enough herbaceousness to balance it out. May take a couple years to bloom but drinks great now

Subtle complexity. Not for lovers of the fruit bomb. A high end quaffing wine.

Lilac, cherry nice tannins. A little Bret.
Some smoke and clove

Quintessential Cab Franc with tobacco leaf, and pencil lead notes. Needs more time to develop complexity. Tasted 2012.

Black pepper, blackberry jam, gravel, tons of roses, bit of smoke, bit of stem. Palate is less ripe than the nose, finish is fleeting.
