Killer spice and slate on the nose sound with cranberry, sour cherry and mulberry. Very Xmasy vibe. Palate is silky and refined. Great fruit and freshness. Very complete. Excellent. Great power, concentration and structure. Long finish.

Super complex nose, spice, big red cherries, really complex spice and old wood shavings. Mint, clove, cardamom. Citrus shavings. Licorice. Wow what small tiny berry fruit concentration and purity. Fine fine tannins. Red cherries, red cranberries, and such fine tannins and such good freshness and acidity. Awesome presence and super pure. Lip smacking and pure. Awesome length. After 4/6 hours the tannins melt and it becomes so so seductive. wow. Remarkable freshness and complexity. Wonderful fruit and freshness.

In a brilliant spot for my last bottle of our first vintage working with Tobias. Stunning nose of herbs, sweet mid season red cherries, cinnamon, tree bark, soil tones, slate toned and so subtle yet complex. Haunting. Palate is elegant, sweet, supple and so fresh. Well balanced and juicy with so many crunchy mid season cherries. Super pure. Terrific mouthfeel and so compact. Sweet and mineral. Velvety, ripe and sweet tannins. Just wonderful. 9.4 now but likely will be a 9.5.

Unreal nose. Huge herbals and spice. Dizzying, and mesmerizing. Just sick. Wow these aromas are just so subtle yet also so in your face. Huge sweetness and complexity. Nose has Xmas spice and chestnut now after air. Cranberry and mid season cherry. So so good. Sweet, supple and has energetic, fresh and engaging tannins. Just gorgeous. Still this is a very structured wine that needs some age. Maybe 5 years. I’ll be back as the air helps this

What a nose. Smells like elite old school Burgundy. Wet earth and mesmerizing cherries, cranberry bog, minerals, such freshness and purity to the aromas. So nimble. Palate is a bit tight but it is all there. Textured, sweet/sour fruit, sappy and so dense yet light on its feet and nimble. Awesome mid palate and a tiny bit of grit that will resolve with air or age. So fresh and clean. So wonderful. Long. So complex. Wonderful texture and mouthfeel. Excellent fruit presence on the backend. Really long finish.

Stunning, bright cherries, mid season, cherry flower, smell stem inclusion, tree bark, sick florals, what a nose. Elegant and lacey, pure and sweet, earthy sweetness, so fine, so refined. Gorgeous finish and balance. Wow.

Day 2 notes. Was killer yesterday and needed maybe 35 minutes to get going. Today, subdued nose of red fruits, cherries, spice and mineral. Very Pinot. Superb earthiness and tree bark. Sublime. Palate is elegant and mineral with lovely snappiness and purity. Very elegant. So complete and lithe.

Whoah. What a nose. This is wide open. Gorgeous nose. Big berry fruit, deep, layered, floral, so voluminous. Tree bark, spices. Wow. Gorgeously elegant palate with lovely freshness and a sleek tannic structure. Insane purity and depth. So elegant and fine. Wonderful.

Closed shut but the core of fruit was incredibly sophisticated. Did not open up except very slowly. Like a glacier melting in just above freezing weather. Acid was high but the core of fruit is very special. Wait 5 years.

A Coravin sample was used to test this wine. AND? I will buy the 16 just to see were this producer will go. Elegant and mostly raspberry driven. Chalky. I get orange 🍊 rind on the back palate. Tightly coiled right now and hard to judge. Needs time. Revisit in a couple of years or so. Unfortunately rare and highly allocated. From Lyle Fass.
