Popped and poured; no formal notes. This is a step up in complexity with a blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre. The Syrah plays a heavy role and sets the tone for color and aromatics which is dark purple and olive and black pepper respectively. The fruit is more mixed brambles with some licorice and baking spices. This is made with the estates’ younger vines and it certainly has a youthful energy about it.

40% Syrah, 40% Mourvèdre, 20% Grenache “Young Vines” 14.5% abc
This is a lovely Côte-du-Rhône-style red blend, albeit one with more syrah than grenache. Deep ruby, pretty black fruit, firm acidity. Great fruit presence with enough earthiness to give it some complexity. Plenty of acidity to make it a versatile pairing with food. Great restaurant wine.

Fruit forward with some astringency and strong alcoholic smell that wanes after 30 min. Medium finish. As others have said, this is a nice restaurant wine, especially with Mezze food.
