1 person found it helpfulFeb 4th, 2013Fresh nose with a nice mix of sweet & savoury, fresh ripe red fruit and moist undergrowth, a touch of cherry, a pinch of baking spice and a flowery whiff. Very pure and enticing.
On the palate this has lovely linearity & purity. Feather light & silky smooth, with very, very fine tannins and juicy acidity. There quite a bit of depth, too.
Precise, poised and very elegant.
Cuts above the usual Pinot Net crowd in Südtirol, the spectacular vineyard clearly helps.

Not that impressed. Has a certain flavour I find in Swiss and in NY state Pinot noirs. Don’t know how to describe it but it’s not for me.
