Valhalla Chardonnay

2011: their recent vintages, especially the 2013 are more impressive. Wild fermented in 500l acacia or oak puncheon. This seems to add a lot of depth to the wine that says away from elegance. Full, creamy, buttery and toasty, with quite ripe stone fruit, red Apple. Good, but lacking finesse

Buttery oak ,Apple , lemon , gd length

Mid gold, oaky, white peach, dry, bright acidity with ripe stone fruit with grapefruit and passion fruit. Deep, long finish.

Wild ferment, scrumptious and misleading.

Last night on the north island. Light wood flavor, still creamy.

Elegant oak, quite punchy but there's a delicate touch to it that melts well with buttery notes. Stonefruit and tropical fruit are fighting each other as this wine is quite intense, layered and earthy. Pineapples and toasted marshmallows on the palate. Long finish. Good stuff.
