Loved it. Very vibrant fruit forward wine, very little finish which is what I’d expect, but heavy black currant and blackberry flavors while still being incredibly light.

Elegant and delicious Northern Rhône Syrah. Notes of smokey blackberry, cooked plum, charred Provençal herbs and spice with a mineral component that leaves your mouth watering. Balanced with moderate plus tannins, acidity, body and complexity. Delicious wine.

It’s the colour of dark roses and blood. Lovely perfumed aroma with a hint of fragrant plums. Some flowers (maybe roses and lilacs?). Flavor is earthy with lots of leather, but it’s lithe and smoother than I expected from 100% Syrah. Plenty of tannins in there. Feel them on the tongue, teeth and lip. It’s an elegant, pretty wine. Clean and easy to enjoy. If it was a bit stranger and more complex it’d be stunning. At the price point of around $20 it’s great for a night with friends talking and enjoying the joy of wine.
