Welcome to Friday night and I am drinking another Oregon Pinot. At first opening the fruit comes right out and fills the senses. It is some beautiful red fruit of which I get cranberry, red raspberries, cherry and a touch of smoke. On the palate the fruit is luscious and very bright. The red fruit continues with cranberries and cherries. There is mushroom, vanilla, caramel and a wet forest floor. The mouth feel is velvety, very well balanced with medium tannins and a medium acidity. There is a smoky oak note but not over bearing and the finish is long. I purchased this for $35.99.

Dec 14th, 2014Blinded it as 2012 Oregon, so they are definitely doing it right. Got a little forest floor, black cherry, Tight good tannin, glossy and ripe. I can see why it got the score but I'd love to try a 2011.
