Apr 11th, 2022Yowza this is in a great place. Nose is tree bark, bruised lemons, wild mint and herbs. Awesome. It smells a little fat as this is 15 but the Chablis quality is there. Palate is rich, integrated and super pure. Excellent mineral freshness and purity. Acid is adequate but texture is to die for. Luscious and rich. But this is fresh, but not fresh in a typical Chablis way. Delicious. Awesome concentration and explosiveness.

Aug 23rd, 2021Have not had in over 4 years. Last bottle. Awesome nose of lemon curd, saline, iodine, huge almost youthful mineral expression. Palate is complex, concentrated, chewy and superbly mineral. This is one of the most mineral expressions of a Les Clos I’ve ever had. Sweet mineral persistence echoes what seems like forever on the finish. Thrashing acid and huge palate impact. Will last 20 more years.

Nov 23rd, 2019Stunning. If a wine could be a Viking Warrior this is it. Stoic and intense. Huge nose of intense lime zest and doubly intense oyster minerality. It reeks of minerals. Meyer lemon and lemon candy. Phenomenal nose. Palate is just brilliant. Insane minerality and sweet lime fruit and some sweet Granny Smith Apple as well. So many minerals they appear as sweet. Powerful and structured but also insanely elegant. This is really in a spot. No rush.
