Funk on the nose. Funk and savory red fruits on the palate. Long finish. In its prime drinking window.

The 2011 could have used maybe another year in bottle to fully smooth out, but as it opened up over the evening, it showed remarkable depth of spicy red fruit with delicious loamy earth notes.

The 2010 just sings at this stage. Vibrant and juicy, yet complex and still structured, this shows WA at its best. Wild cherry, red and black raspberry, a bit of exotic spice-- a lot to enjoy. Bravo, Jon!
