Maybe much better in ten years. Or maybe not, I have to remember to tone down my preference for the full-bodied Willamette Valley Pinots. Nettles on the nose. Slightly under-ripe plums on the front. Light tannic structure. Lots of high notes on the end. Since this an actual Burgundy from Burgundy, I have to give it the benefit of a doubt. So I’ll grade it as an 8.8. But if this were, say, from the Sonoma Coast, I’d give it an 8.4. Call it French grade inflation.

Rustic but still with bright strawberry and ripe raspberry flavors. Nice, but for the money not expressive enough to outshine some of Bichot’s more entry level offerings
