Wine number 3 in the blind tasting courtesy of my wife and daughter for my birthday... I called petit chablis with my eyes blinded and called it something else with the blind removed 😬
It's a good petit chablis, it's a good Chablis all together... But the price of it... I told my wife and daughter to go all in on one bottle and this was this one. The equivalent of 50 USD... I checked it costs about 22 USD back home. I feel a bit cheated...
The nose is fine though : nice chalky, lime stone, lemony nose. Almost a bit flinty... The palate is very well balanced and a bit wider than what I expected. I've had worse Chablis, and even premier crus to be honest. The mid palate is wide and nice and powering a long chalky, lemony finish thzt goes on for a long while. It's extremely overpriced but for half the price it's a very good value. 88 that could be 90 if the price was right.
