California Cabernet Sauvignon

Decent bottle for the price. Smells like it will punch you in the face but flavor is slightly more understated. For $12, paired with a pint of ice cream and Thursday Night Football, not a bad option.

Cassis, blackberry and a hint of Brett and leather in the nose. Hints of maturity, but can still improve with 3-5 more years. For an inexpensive sipper it's got some soul and complexity. Medium bodied in mouth with pleasant, Varietaly correct favors and good balance. No heat, earthy finish. Great value wine to throw in a blind cab tasting. Used for my Intri to Wine and Food Pairing class .

Nose: greenish with strong black pepper, more cooked fruit after aerating. Similar tastes (not favorite) tastes like a cheaper, . Well balanced with mild tannins at least.

Easy to drink a bunch in one sitting

Slightly tart, good bodied wine with medium flavor. Had after dinner with cheese cake and chocolate covered strawberries.

The snow is melting and I'm making a Corolina Pulled Pork BBQ Pizza! This 2006 Cab features grapes from 3 regions. Good fruit and berry tones that bring out the subtlety of BBQ pizza...it's all good around here.
