The snow is melting and I'm making a Corolina Pulled Pork BBQ Pizza! This 2006 Cab features grapes from 3 regions. Good fruit and berry tones that bring out the subtlety of BBQ pizza...it's all good around here. — 8 years ago

Thanks, John. We'll have to try it out. How does it go with snow?

I found this 97 north Coast Cab hiding away in my wine cellar, what a pleasant surprise! Good balance, nice fruit, mellow without losing its substance. Perfect to accompany the sunset on the Sound. — 10 years ago

20 years and holding it together quite well. Earth, fruit, and a nice finish, a pleasant surprise for a winter night by the fire. — 10 years ago

Here is 2009 red blend from Chandler Reach. From Yakima Valley and perhaps Yaktown's better gift to us. Good dark fruit plum and date tones with spicy finish that lingers... for about a week. I like the 25% Cab Franc nice touch in the blend. — 9 years ago

Well here is a Kenwood Cab from 1996... I taste acid, hints of motor oil, and there's even a hint stuff floating around like shipwreck aftermath. I bet it was good in 1999 though. — 9 years ago

Nice wine for a hot dish night. Cherry and mild tannins yet a mouthful of fruit you want in a red blend. From 'the devil's cellar' yet a hint of heaven. — 10 years ago

Rainy night in Seattle -what a surprise! Enjoying this Liars Dice from Murphy Goode, 2004. Still has fruit and light presence, still mostly merlot with hearty Cab for stature. Good thing I'm enjoying with a home style pizza, it wouldn't be as good next year. — 9 years ago

This 2009 Liars Dice Zinfandel from our friends at Murphy-Goode is going to boost the credibility of Zin that has fallen out of favor. I like the fruit and balance with no harsh notes or filler wine from Lodi. Drinking on a stormy night with French onion soup! — 9 years ago

This might be an example of why Sideways killed the market for Merlot! On the sweet side little if any tannins, It starts out slow then tapers off. — 10 years ago
