Fresh, ripe blackberries. Like a blackberry pie, it has a sweet smell. Inside it is anything but sweet, and not a giant fruit bomb either. Wet flinty stones and some good earth. Nicely balanced, sharp, well done!

A little rocky out of the bottle (burning alcohol, some funk), but once it opens up, very satisfying tannins backing up some seriously brooding fruit.
