M. Chapoutier
Tournon Victoria Shiraz

Last tasted a year ago and found this bottle a little better. Not complex, but complete. Smooth, fruity but not sugary, with balanced acidity. A Syrah on the nose without a doubt.

Nose is all Aussie Shiraz. Very nice wine for $14. Black fruit, pepper and ever- so- slight eucalyptus. Tannins give it so@e spine

Properly purple, full-bodied and accessible. Smooth, pleasant and soft with a little pepper and lots of ripe blackberry. Spicy. Performs well with a country pâté but a bit jammy on its own. A little unwanted bitterness and a wee bit of burn on the finish.

Sometimes i forget that i really dont like shiraz alone. Then i buy a bottle and quickly remember. In blends im cool with it. The brail lable suckered me in. Bad choice but great reminder!
