Road wine. Prunes, raisins, licorice, blood, game, pepper, tobacco, ink, leather, and a hint of mint. Big nose and a dry finish.

May 30th, 2016A little disappointed with this guy. Found it at a local liquor store at half-off price, which led me to believe I had a 50/50 chance that improper storage might've ruined it. Still had some classic Northern Rhone sweat and leather and smoke that I've come to adore over the years but a little too much oxidation as a result of being half-off, I imagine. An absolutely intoxicating nose, but not tremendously intoxicating as a drink.
