A very approachable, supple Cornas. Very good though with a gamey, slightly Bretty nose blowing off to reveal beautiful fruit and spice. As is often the case, Chapoutier hits the spot.

The 2018 vintage, still young but with all the signs of a good bottle to cellar for a few more years; enjoyable now though, especially after proper aeration. Powerful Syrah at the moment.

Deep ruby, black raspberry and plum, vanilla, black pepper, spicy. Nice balance of acid, tannin and alcohol. Needs to decant a little to open up. At Chez Janou
