Sep 14th, 2017Wow! Decanted for 3+ hours and it showed very well. Rich, bright raspberry and cranberry on the nose but savory and meaty on the palate. Wish I had another to open in 2019+

Jul 3rd, 2014Cooked red & black fruit with savory herbs & black olive brine. Blood like quality, some leather & dark earth. Also some VA. Not my style of wine (a bit heavy & tired?) But shows typicity for this genre.

Jan 10th, 2016Right out of the bottle: a little sweet and closed. Hopefully it'll open up.
Edit: 15 minutes after pour it opened up nicely. Still very smooth, but plenty of depth in the aftertaste and scent. Only reason it's not scored higher is that it's still a tad too sweet for my taste.

Okay - not quite as tasty as my one other foray into Tournon shiraz. Decent bottle but nothing to write home about. PS had this at Mickey Mantles steak house in OKC -hard to believe but the wine list was chalk full of cult cabs like Bond, Harlan, Hundred Acre, Schrader, Grace Family etc. If I ever do a closing dinner in OKC (and am not paying) I know where I am headed...
