Red cherry and black cherry on the nose wrapped in a warm leather overtone with a hint of floral or star anise. Intense sensation breathing in. But on the palate the intensity softens to reveal hints of bittersweet cocoa and crushed dark fruit. Like classic Nebbiolo this wine loves and responds animatedly to food. Beautiful opening up and smooth finish with a dynamic linger that changes over the course of a meal. We had the 2009.
