Dark garnet red with some tawny edges. A bit stinky on the nose with some cheese, wood and black cherries. Medium tannins (6/10) with a medium body. Notes of bark and dried cherries on the palate. Drinking well right now with a long finish. Drink till 2019.

Not my style at all, tasted the 2008 in 2016 and it felt evolved, heavy, lacking freshness...prefer syrah to shiraz definitely

Deep garnet red. Very dirty and savory attack on the nose, with notes of smoke, wood, meat and pepper. Additional spices, forest floor and a touch of cinnamon with some air in the glass. Medium tannins (6.5/10) and medium body. Red cherries on the attack of the palate, with notes of damp leaves, a touch of cinnamon and woody. Wet stones in the medium plus to long finish. Drinking in its peak right now, will last another two years. Drink till 2019.

Bottle number 7071 of 23000.

Blackberry, leather and vanilla plum. Could've waited a couple years but solid wine.

Slightly hazy, deep garnet, clean pronounced nose of plum jam, kirsch, cognac, tar, walnuts and tobacco. Dry, medium acidity, high ripe tannins, high alcohol, warms the chest, medium plus body, pronounced flavors of prunes, kirsch, plum jam, black currants, tobacco and walnuts. The finish is long, and the quality is very good because it's aging well, there's a lush entrance on the palate and the finish is long. Can drink now until 2020, the fruit is still present and it has medium + tannins and medium fresh acidity to prevent oxidation. #shiraz #southafricanwine

Eight years in my cellar. Big boy wine. Needs 90 minutes in the decanter. Inky. World class wine. 15.5% but no problem, wears it well. Complexity off the charts. Every sip was different. Coffee, smoke, blueberry, Peppercorns, gorgeous acid. Fine tannins. Youthful at 12 years.

Total beast! Chocolate, leather and dark berries. Carries a proper punch of flavour and went excellently with venison!
