Yesterday afternoon we had the pleasure of having the 2012 Luciano Sandrone Barolo Le Vigne.
The nose brought on red fruit, cherry, raspberries, strawberry, red currant, floral notes of roses, anise, licorice and spice.
On the palate there was cherry, raspberry, red currant, leather, licorice, a touch of tar and spice.
The wine is medium to full bodied with medium acidity, medium + smooth tannins that lead to a long clean well balanced finish. Today starts a long holiday weekend that leads right into the new year. Please be safe and enjoy the holidays with family and friends. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷

2012 vintage. Super clean nose with the most intense, artificial cherry flavors ever. Light-medium bodied. Sure, some rose petals and cracked black pepper but did I tell you about that cherry? Oh so youthful.

This wine has so much upside still. The attack and core of the fruit is very concentrated and the finale long and does not let go....way too young still but in 5 years should be a monster i feel.
