Deep gold color. Notes of apricot, creme brulee, lemon and marzipan, and a little butterscotch. In the decanter this looks golden, but in the glass it looks much younger. My last experience with this wine ended in a TN that said to drink within 2 hours of opening. Today, that was true. Until it wasn't. In hours 4-6, this exploded with excitement and changed dramatically. The old butterscotch and apricot notes disappeared; the acidity powered up; and the lemon and marzipan notes along with wet river stone and tan spice were amplified. Just when you think it was done, it pulled you back in...!
