Nice balance of acidity and fruit for a 16 year old wine. 2010. In fact it’s pretty fantastic. A bit of stewed apricots d hints of green apple. The tertiary elements are charming as heck. Go team!

Deep gold color. Motor oil weight in the glass. Happy to find the nose has some interesting notes and doesn’t signal the wine is too advanced. Candied apricot. Kiwi fruit, apple slices, pebble stones, sweet lemon. Good structure. Great finish. Maybe just a hint oxidized but overall a great old white burg experience.

Dark gold in decanter, medium gold and heavy/viscous in the glass. Old white burg nose. Notes of apricot, beeswax, white dry earth and tan spice. Fruit forward with modest acidity in the mouth. While past its prime this held steady and delivered throughout the night.

Deep gold color in the decanter. Medium gold in the glass. Notes of apples, white flowers, lemon, tan spice, white clay and some minerals. With air some butterscotch appears. Nice acidity. This bottles suggests these need to be drunk soon.

A bit one dimensional, tropical and soft, but with some pithiness.

Dark like Ramonet is often dark, but without premox. Powerful, nutty, rich and intense.

Very good, not great – but at least it is not premox'd.
