Puligny-Montrachet, situated to south of Meursault & to north of Chassagne-Montrachet, shares with Chassagne a handful of the greatest white wine vineyards in the world. An array of aromas, somewhat exotic, yet delicate. Subtle fruit with wispy ripe stone fruits, intricate spice, vanilla with gentle nuttiness. Balanced acidity, wafts of oak on a lingering smooth mineral finish. Clay and chalky soils give this wine it’s firm depth! Age at least 8+ years!

Heather honeyed, apricots, ripe peach, overripe pineapple, white and yellow florals, thick and waxy, soft sweet minerality and a very long rich finish.

A youthful Chardonnay with a lovely aroma and balanced oak. Perfect with Welsh Rarebit, or cheese soufflé.

Out of the loop, crazy, once-in-a-lifetime village wine. Bought a case for £140 at auction, not knowing Broadbent rated it ***** "Knock-out drops". A healthy golden hue - dense, with little water at the rim; lots of dandelions, salty bread dough (without yeast), hints of sweet pears and apples; incredibly buttery and incredibly long (50+ seconds). A faint hint of volatile acidity creeping in towards the end but still one of the most powerful, evocative, and expressive white wines I have ever tasted!!
