Kicked off very closed and felt like an off bottle for the first 10-15mins. But with food and air, the fruit really started to show itself and the palate went brim brooding dark damp fruit to dark cherries and ripe raspberries. Had some earthy notes and mushroom-y notes as well. A bit relieved that the wine finally came around.
