Really hitting its stride, the previously apparent tannins now completely integrated. Extracted red cherry and strawberry. Light nutty notes, a whiff of cedar. Great value.

A bit austere but such is the vintage. Way better on day two and I suspect with another 5 or so years of evolution to pull some subtlety out of what is now a lot of green flavors and tart cherry

The kind of Burgundy that makes novice collectors decide against buying Burgundy. It’s actually quite nice and correct, veering from primary Beaune cherry fruit into a bit of tea/mushroom thing...but it’s been quite obviously filtered heavily, and any discerning drinker should reasonably expect more from an aged example from a monopole vineyard. So I’d have to say this is shit, as are virtually all the Jadot reds I’ve had the misfortune to drink. Worth about $25, tops.
