This is past it’s peak, but absolutely drinkable. And not opening it within hours of possessing the bottle is a cardinal sin in my book. One of those odd finds I could not pass up! Tasted over a five hour period of time.

Uncorked and served chilled: vibrant copper color. Toasted almonds, hard aged cheese, and white truffle aromas, opulent! The pallet is full of intense nutty flavors and mead wine, the finish is equally intense.

After a couple of hours the wine beings to brighten up on the pallet; the aromas are relentless, however. Acidity is present on the mid pallet and lingering finish; red apple and orange peel fruit flavors abound.

In the latter part of the five hour mark, the flavors on the finish turn spicy: white pepperish.

A most enjoyable wine experience. Cheers.

Too much oxidation.
Still drinkable, though.
But that’s not enough.... 😔

Now we are talking. Vibrant, yellow with citrus and crushed stone.

Gold color. Fleshy and opulent on the nose. Slight tropical fruit, oak and overall soft palate. Long finish. Drink up.

A bit over the hill. Still holding together quite well. A welcome touch of acidity still present. Drank it with a wedge of smoked cheddar. HEYO!!!

Much better. Lemon color. Intense nose of lemon, pear with some wood. Medium+ palate, crushed rocks, pear , lemon with a very tart yet long finish.
