Louis Chavy
Alfio Moriconi Selection Coteaux Bourguignons Pinot Noir
Coteaux Bourguignons, Burgundy, France

A blend of Pinot Noir and Gamay, bright Ruby with simple berry nose. On the palate cherry and red berry flavors, with a touch of herb notes, not complex. Soft tannins, medium finish ending with sweet almost jammy character. Drink now, will not benefit from bottle age.

Aromas of red fruit with some earthy spice notes. On the palate cherry, raspberry and cranberry, gentle spice, balanced with vivid acidity. Smooth tannins with hint of earthiness brings this wine to a medium finish. Not overly complex but good.

Pale purple. Aromas of dry violets and Concord grape. Nothing too special about this Pinot. Falls a little flat.

A blend of Gamay and Pinot Noir. Clear ruby red. Nose of red and black cherries and rhubarb. Fruit driven palate echoes the nose with hints of strawberry (to offset that rhubarb), medium acidity, and medium tannins. Finish is short-ish, but feels appropriate. A good fruity intro to the Burgundy region that will compliment a number of foods.

Louis Chavy Coteaux Bourguignons 2024 — 88pts
Bright ripe cherries on the nose. The palate is balanced and approachable — rich fruit, smooth tannins, and just enough acidity to keep things interesting. The Pinot Noir takes the wheel over the Gamay, lending silkiness and elegance where you might otherwise get rustic bite. An unpretentious, overachieving weeknight Burgundy.
I recommend trying this Pinot Noir blend

Appearance is deep red/burgundy with not briquing. Nose is full of grapes, cranberry and spice. Very even tasting profile with medium finish and light tannins.
