Medium Ruby with aromas of berry fruits and smoky notes. On the palate flavors of cherry, raspberry and red plum with pepper spice, burnt toast and herbs. Fine tannins, medium finish ending with fruit, spice and smoky character. Drink now!

Clear ruby garnet. Inviting nose and medium full palate of ripe black cherry and violet. Medium plus acidity asserts from entry to moderate finish. Medium tannins as well. Classic Langhe red blend with Nebbiolo prominent and perhaps a bit of Barbera as well. Excellent pair with Italian fare (natch) and hearty beef or pork dishes. Still quite sturdy for its age and pedigree, so drink now through 2028 or later.

Warm, sour, plum and a hint of earthy notes. Mostly Nebbiolo grapes with some small percentage of Barbera to soft the tannins and balance the acidity. Some violet and red fruits are in the mid range of the palate. Had the 2015 vintage and was well balanced, still a decent woody finish. Very approachable!

Really enjoyed this wine. Definitely some age on this, a dusty red. Dark fruit, mildly raisiny. Rich, full bodied. Pretty tannic. A touch of acidity. Stands well on its own but enjoyed this with penna al baffo. Would love to have again.
