Similar notes to my last experience, last bottle.

On the nose we have black cherry, dried green pepper and black pepper.

On the palate we have dusty raspberry, black currant, black pepper, tobacco and voilet, still lacking concentration.

Very very good cab. In this last month of observation I’ve tasted too many not-mentionable cabs. This guy is solid. The acids are strong (solid plus point with me!) and the tannins oh so smooth (albeit me personally might like more but I am NOT the zeitgeist). The alcohol I guessed was 13.8 and I got...13.5 damn. Close. Then let us say blackberries, green vines, with perhaps some blackberry pleasure. Damn yummy wine with doable Napa price point.

A random purchase from a semi-defunct wine shop (I believe he's been trying to close for 2 years now... But no buyer's), never heard of this bottle before.
13.5% Alcohol and it may impair your ability to operate machinery, according to the back label, other than that, it's a blank book for me, so notes forthcoming...

If anyone has had this, post up a comment. Thanks.

On the nose we have black cherry, green pepper and black pepper.
On the palate, currently lacking concentration but continuing to improve, black currant, black pepper, tobacco and voilet.
Amazingly this wine paired quite nicely with the grilled asparagus accompanying our flap steak with a fresh chimichurri made from foraged ramps (wild leeks), a local delicacy for only a few weeks in the Berkshires.

Beautiful. Made by Cathy Corison. This was from a friend that probably has more of their library wines than they do. Long Meadow was one of the unlucky wineries that lost their history in the Vallejo warehouse fire in 2006. So sad.

Spice, black fruit and a tiny bit of herbaceousness that makes the nose very interesting. Mushrooms and earthiness. M acid, body and tannin. This is a great food pairing wine.
