A group of serious wine aficionados agreed this was the best Chardonnay they had tasted in a long time. Elegant with integrated fruit and oak flavor.

Welcome Friday, you couldn't come to soon. A 4 day work week still felt like a full 5 days. Tonight's wine is from the RRV Sonoma County. The 2014 L'Oliveto Barrel Fermented Russian River Valley Chardonnay.

There are fine aromas of Macantosh Apple's, white peach, pear, grapefruit, hint of butter, hint of oak, minerality and wet stones.

The first sip gives a creamy mouth feel with grapefruit, lemon, pear, other citrus notes, lemon zest, a touch of butter and wet pebbles.

This is a full bodied wine with high acidity, a moderate to long crisp finish that is well balanced.

The QPR on this wine is an easy buy. Have a safe weekend with enjoyable wines.

Nicely balanced. Lemon curd and a touch of lees and butter. Some grapefruit and green apple tartness on the palate and finish.
